Tuvalu's Governor-General receives credentials of the UAE Ambassador

FUNAFUTI, Tuvalu, 8th December, 2017 (WAM) -- The Governor-General of Tuvalu, Iakoba Italeli, has received the credentials of Saleh Ahmed Alzreem Al Suwaidi, as a Non-Resident Ambassador of the UAE to Tuvalo, during a reception held at the presidential residence in the capital, Funafuti.

Al Suwaidi conveyed the greetings to Mr. Italeli of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, wishing him and his country further progress and prosperity.

Italeli welcomed the new ambassador and expressed his delight over the strong bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and thanked the UAE government for its continued support to the government and people of Tuvalu.

Tuvalu's Governor-General reciprocated his greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa, wishing the UAE and its people further progress and development, and the ambassador success in his diplomatic mission to promote and strengthen friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries in all fields.
