Rasheed Hyde wanted for cousin’s attempted murder

San Ignacio police are seeking Rasheed Hyde, 26, for the December 4th shooting of his cousin Russell Hyde Jr., son of notorious figure Russell Hyde.

Police issued a wanted posted with Rasheed’s picture on Thursday.

Police say that Rasheed, a taxi driver and resident of Zaiden Street in Santa Elena town is wanted by authorities for questioning in the attempted murder.

Rasheed is considered armed and dangerous. The public is asked to contact the nearest police station with any helpful information.

Just before 8:00 on December 4, Hyde Jr. was shot once to his abdomen and twice to his right leg by a lone gunman while he was seated inside his vehicle. He was parked outside of a meat shop located on George Price Avenue in Santa Elena.

Family members told the media that Hyde Jr.’s medical condition has been upgraded to stable while doctors work to locate a bullet which is believed to be lodged somewhere in his stomach.

The family believes Hyde Jr. was lured to the location.
