MAKING WAVES: Bournemouth has impressed Airbnb users in recent months

Airbnb has revealed the most searched holiday locations of 2017.

You may be surprised by two of the locations that feature on the worldwide rankings, because they’re actually in the UK.

According to the home rental company’s travel trends report, Bournemouth and London have both made the top 10 list.

    Bournemouth, which is nestled in the South West of England, came second only to Gangneung in Korea.

    Airbnb has seen a whopping 353% increase in searches for the location.

    Britain’s capital, London, has also proven to be a hit with holidaymakers.

    It has attracted so much worldwide interest that it ranks at number 5 on the top list - beating Rome, Sydney and Lisbon.
