The 2008 X Factor winner has been in the dance-off twice in a row now despite regularly impressing the judges with her outstanding performances.

The 29-year-old and her professional dancer Gorka Marquez, 27, haven’t put a foot wrong but are failing to win over the public.

And now William Hill believe it is highly likely the singer will once again find herself in the dreaded dance-off with her odds at 6/4.

However, there is some glimmer of hope for Alexandra as her chances of leaving the competition are at 6/1, suggesting the judges would save her if push comes to shove.

“Alexandra is having a rough time at present and we think things will only get worse at the weekend,” said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.

Debbie McGee, 59, and Holby City actor Joe McFadden, 42, are currently the joint favourites to win the coveted Glitterball trophy during the grand final next weekend.

Whereas, The Saturdays band member Mollie King, 30, is favourite to leave on Saturday night with former Emmerdale actress Gemma Atkinson, 33, coming close behind.

This week, Alexandra admitted she is unsure whether she’ll make it to the final after being battered by cruel trolls on Twitter who have accused her of being fake.

The talented star told Radio Times: "I started the show completely myself - my joy and tears were 100 per cent genuine, however much people say they were fake - but now I'm so self conscious."

"I don't know if I'll make it to the final; that's in the public's hands. All I can do is carry on working hard, enjoy my time on that dance floor and fight for my place.”
