What’s Streaming

LEGION on Hulu. Superheroes seem to be a dime a dozen these days, but none of them is quite like Legion, who is either insane or the world’s most powerful telepath — and he isn’t sure which. This show, which premiered this year on FX and stars Dan Stevens, embeds itself within the confused superhero’s point of view, so that the audience also has to guess what’s real. “It’s no ordinary comic-book show: it’s a head trip, and it’s spectacular,” James Poniewozik wrote in his Times review.

THE CROWN on Netflix. In real life, it looks like there will be a new princess in Buckingham Palace for the British media to heavily scrutinize. The second season of this fictionalized series centers on her soon-to-be grandmother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth II, as her reign stretches into the ’60s with social mores changing rapidly. Played by Claire Foy, the queen has largely figured out the powers and limitations of her title; much of the season’s drama comes from her rocky marriage to Prince Philip (Matt Smith), and her decision to send him on a five-month tour.

THE GRAND TOUR on Amazon. Jeremy Clarkson’s big mouth has led him to both a great deal of trouble and a huge following; his stint on the wildly popular British car show “Top Gear” ended unceremoniously after a series of ugly disputes. He’s back to rampaging around the world in this Amazon show, which also features the “Top Gear” veterans Richard Hammond and James May. Watch them embark on reckless, exhilarating endeavors in world-class cars.

CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND 8 p.m. on the CW. Two beloved shows on the CW wrap up their fall seasons tonight. On “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” which the Times critic James Poniewozik named one of his favorite shows of the year, Rebecca (Rachel Bloom) continues her road to wellness following a suicide attempt, by donning a Shirley Temple costume and starting an unusual friendship. On JANE THE VIRGIN, at 9, Jane (Gina Rodriguez) embarks on a book tour that takes an unexpected turn at the first stop.
