JKGTF seeks pending salary


KATHUA:  A meeting of Jammu Kashmir Govt Teacher Forum (JKGTF) was held at Kathua to discuss the demands of teachers fraternity. The main demands discussed were exemption of teachers from B.Ed training who are going to retire  before 2020, adjustment of teachers promoted as master in Feb. 2014 having distance mode degrees, releasing salary of teachers & masters working under RMSA  and SSA schemes, clearing of pending liability of salary of SSA teachers regularized in 2013,clearance of all pending cases of pre facto and post facto permission, providing regular mid day meal in schools through NGOs and clearing pending liability, regularising all RET teachers having the service of 5 years in the department, removal of pay anomaly of master grade etc.

Speaking on the occasion S Parveen Singh State Gen. Secretary said that all these demands have already been taken up with higher authority and Director School Education Jammu from time to time. He warned that if demands are not resolved in a time bound manner teachers will be forced to go on strike. He added that teachers are facing hardships in clearing the financial commitments due to the non release of salary grant.

Speaking on the occasion Amar Nath Thakur appealed the Education Department authorities to release all cadre DPC list to fill the vacant post particularly teacher to masters and lecturers. He further appealed the Education Minister to regularize 7,000 incharge cadres whose data has been compiled and submitted to civil secretariat through cabinet decision as one time relaxation.
