NSU arranges Career Fair 2017

Few decades ago, Anjan Dutta told his Bela Bose via public telephone about getting a job after much struggle. It's been a while since then, but still getting a job is a big deal. To ease the struggles of young students looking for jobs, NSU organised a career fair on November 27. 60 local and global companies were present there to provide students with information on positions in their company. Many companies collected CVs on spot. This is the 9th career fair held at NSU. Providing job opportunities and information to students newly entering the job market is the main goal of this event.

The chairperson of this event was the Pro-Vice Chancellor of North South University, Gias Uddin Ahsan and the Chief Guest was Saiful Islam Mohiuddin, the Chairman of FBCCI who had enlightened the opening ceremony of the fair. At that time, Member of the Board of Trustee of NSU, Benajir Ahmed, Treasurer Gouro Gabinda Goshwami and Director of NSU Career Placement Center, FarhanaZahir, CFA was present. In today's competitive market, most of the top universities provide practical lessons to the students, and career fairs prove to be extremely useful to them. One interesting part of the fair was that, there was a networking session featuring the top employees of the companies. Job applicants received information about their future career from that session.

Most students who had submitted their CVs to different companies were delighted to have gotten the opportunity right there in NSU, without having to go through rigorous online and physical application processes.

It is to be mentioned that Standard Chartered Bank, Eastern Bank Ltd., ACI, Grameen Phone, Brac, Bitopi, bKash, Basundhara Group, Food Panda, Green Delta, Banglalink, BSRM, Daily Star, APEX and many other local and global companies were present in this fair.
