ABU DHABI: The City Police Station in Abu Dhabi have caught two African nationals over pickpocketing charges. The accused reportedly spit on their victims so as to distract them while pickpocketing their wallets.
Brigadier Ahmed Saif Bin Zitoun Al-Muhairi, Director of the Metropolitan Police, said that different reports were forwarded to the security departments about a number of pickpocketing incidents committed by African nationals. It was reported that the perpetrators pickpocketed their victims by spitting on them so they would be distracted. The accused would then apologise to the victim, while the latter discovered later that his wallet had been pickpocketed.
