A local Christmas tradition continues this weekend: Concerts of Handel’s Messiah by the Windsor Symphony Orchestra and the WSO Chorus.

George Frideric Handel’s masterful 1741 orotario — including the famous “Hallelujah” chorus — will be performed in Leamington on Saturday and in Tecumseh on Sunday.

This year’s concerts will be joined by vocal soloists Chelsea Van Pelt (soprano), Meagan Larios (alto), Karim Sulayman (tenor), and Clarence Frazer (bass).

Saturday’s concert is at Leamington United Mennonite Church (78 Oak St. E.), at 7:30 p.m.

Sunday’s concert is at St. Anne’s Church (12233 Tecumseh Rd. E.), at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are limited, as these performances usually sell out this time of year.

Prices are $35 for adults, $30 for seniors, $15 for students, $14 for youths.

Buy your tickets online via www.windsorsymphony.com, or on the phone via 519-973-1238, or in person at the Capitol Theatre box office (121 University Ave. W.).
