House Passes Concealed Carry Bill To Let Owners Take Guns Across State LinesThe House of Representatives on Wednesday easily passed a large expansion of the right to carry concealed firearms essentially anywhere in the United States, putting the top legislative priority at the National Rifle Association in the hands of the Senate where it will face much higher scrutiny, according to The New York Times. House Republicans paired the measure for all states to recognize any other state's concealed-carry permit with a more bipartisan fix that is meant to improve the reporting of legal and mental health records to the national background check system.
