Home favourite Louis Oosthuizen had to withdraw after sustaining a freak injury.
While at the airport last week, he got his fingers jammed coming back from the Mauritius Open.
He posted a picture in which his fingers were clearly swollen and he appeared to be in a lot of pain.
Discussing his decision to pull out, Oosthuizen said: “This morning is even worse than it was yesterday, so I tried to grip a golf club but there's no way I can go to my grip position.

“It's a bit of an unfortunate one, but I don't want to tee off Thursday and play one hole or a few shots and then withdraw after taking someone's spot.”
America’s Cody Martin takes Oosthuizen’s place.
Meanwhile, Dylan Frittelli, who has claimed back-to-back European Tour titles will get his round underway at 09:05am.
