Liverpool news: Georginio Wijnaldum lifts lid on Reds' emphatic Spartak Moscow win
LIVERPOOL midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has credited hard work on the training ground for their 7-0 thrashing of Spartak Moscow.
The Reds were in irresistible form as they completed their second seven-goal haul in the Champions League this season.
After seeing off Maribor by the same score two months ago, Jurgen Klopp's side made easy pickings of their Russian opponents.
Goals from Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, a Sadio Mane brace and Philippe Coutinho hat-trick ensured Jurgen Klopp's side progressed to the knockout stages as group champions.
It is also the seventh time in the last eight games that Liverpool have put more than three goals past their opponents.

And Wijnaldum, who played in a deeper role to allow the forward four to cause havoc at every opportunity, has lifted the lid on why his side were so effective going forward.
"We started well and created chances,” Wijnaldum told BT Sport.
