Kuwaiti-Mexican economic cooperation cmte holds 1st session

(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Dec 6 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti-Mexican Economic Cooperation has held its first session amid a mutual desire to enhance bilateral ties.

The session follows Mexican President Enrique Pe?a Nieto's last visit to Kuwait during which several agreements were signed, covering various fields of bilateral cooperation, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Finance said in a press statement Wednesday.

During the session held in Mexico, the two sides discussed a host of joint issues, focusing on cooperation in economy, finance, trade, investment, energy, and air transport.

They also exchanged several draft agreements and MoUs to be studied and later signed for consolidating bilateral ties.

The Kuwaiti side to the committee session was led by the Finance Ministry's Undersecretary Khalifa Hamada, while the Mexicans were headed by Agustin Garc?a-L?pez, Executive Director of the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation.

Meanwhile, the visiting delegation represented Kuwait in an economic and business conference between the Arab World and Mexico, organized at the Mexican Congress. (end) km.amh.msa
