Team Europe's Jayson Shaw launched his cue to the floor as he potted the winning nine ball to pull off a shock victory over Shane van Boening - coming back from 4-2 down to win 5-4.
And there was drama after as Shaw proceeded to launch into an angry celebration as he took Europe a point away from a tournament victory.
The fiery Scot shouted at the crowd and towards the US players as he was mobbed by his team-mates.
Shaw eventually shook Van Boening's hand before revealing in a TV interview that the celebration was aimed at US rival Dennis Hatch, who he accused of unsportsmanlike conduct.
Shaw said: "Wow man. Unbelievable, what a match. Start of the match I'm supposed to go up 1-0 and I scratch in the side and play a couple of silly shots.

"But I just tried to dig deep when I was down 4-2, try and take my chances and I was very frustrated I scratched in the first ball.
"Dennis Hatch is clapping, shouting 'good shot', so that's why I acted like that just to get back at him - that's very unsportsmanlike.
"This is crazy, you can't hold yourself together."
Van Boening missed a sitter of an eight ball to hand Shaw the chance to win the deciding ninth rack leaving the crowd, and Shaw, stunned.

He said: "I couldn't believe he missed that ball. I had my glove off and in my case.
"Well, I don't know what to say man. I just wanted to let it all out.
"Me and Shane get on pretty good. I know he won't take that bad that I didn't shake his hand first."
Europe are now 10-4 up and need one more victory to retain the Mosconi Cup.
Shaw added: "That was a massive match. We're on the hill and have one more match tomorrow and we've got it."
