White House: Trump bizarre speech on Jerusalem blamed on dry throat

(MENAFN) Following the odd speech of President Trump Wednesday when he appeared to slur on words, the White House pinned the fault on a dry throat.

The Los Angeles Times was told by spokesman of the White House Raj Shah that "his throat was dry. There's nothing to it."

When the spokesman received pressure on whether the mangled words were due to health issues, he insisted "I know what you're getting at. I'm saying there's nothing to it."

The remarks came after the President seemed to stumble over the phrase "God bless the United States" during his speech on recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
