GURUGRAM: At least 78 spots on district roads were repaired after the residents complained on the app. The state government is working towards making the roads in Haryana pot-hole free.
For this, an app- HARPATH was launched in September this year. So far, 7,000 people have downloaded the app, including 215 people from Gurgaon. Following the complaints on the app, 78 spots on Gurugram roads have been repaired too.
The residents don't have to visit the government offices to report the battered or dangerous roads. Instead, they have to just upload the photos and details of the spot on the app. The officers then resolve the grievances using the GeoTagging feature.
The app gives an option to identify the spot as damaged spot, accident black spot and others. Once uploaded, the officials from the concerned department look into the matter and resolve the issue. They have a deadline of 15 days to resolve the issue and share the status with the user.
"The app makes it easy to monitor the streets and is helping in improving the road conditions. Moreover, if the road quality improves, the mobility will also be smoother, traffic snarls and accidents will reduce," said Vinay Pratap Singh, deputy commissioner, Gurugram.
