Shukla meets Gadkari, urges for flyover approval

Commerce, Industry and Employment and Mineral Resources Minister Rajendra Shukla today met Union Minister of Road, Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari at New Delhi in connection with construction of Rs 100 crore flyover in Rewa and urged him to approve it at the earliest. Shukla also met Commerce and Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu and gave a proposal to develop industrial cluster between Jabalpur-Rewa-Singrauli-Sonbhadra and Varanasi.

Shukla told Union Minister Gadkari that the state government has sent a proposal to the centre for construction of flyover in its one time investment policy. He told that being divisional headquarters and prominent city of Vindhya region, Rewa has to face excessive pressure of traffic. Construction of a flyover can ease traffic and make it more systematic. This flyover is proposed on Samman Tiraha. Union Minister Gadkari assured to take action in this connection at the earliest.

 Shukla gave a proposal to Union Minister Suresh Prabhu to develop an industrial cluster between Jabalpur-Rewa-Singrauli-Sonbhadra-Varanasi. He told that with the implementation of this project, 40 per cent area will be marked permanently for B-construction and processing activities. Shukla urged him to announce new national industrial corridor from Amritsar to Jabalpur-Katni-Satna-Rewa-Sidhi-Singrauli-Sonbhadra and Varanasi in Kolkata National Industrial Corridor.
