THE GRAND TOUR season 2 will be kicking off on Amazon Prime Video at the end of the week with Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May returning. But how many episodes will there be in the new series?
How many episodes are in The Grand Tour season 2?
Amazon have not yet revealed how many episodes will be in season two of The Grand Tour.
However, episodes will be dropped a on weekly basis on the streaming service at midnight.
The Grand Tour season one comprised of 13 episodes in total.
Clarkson, Hammond and May signed a three-year deal with the internet giant to make 36 episodes of The Grand Tour reportedly costing £130 million.

There are a total of 23 episodes left to make, suggesting that season two could comprise of 11 or 12 instalments in total.
Details for the first two episodes of The Grand Tour season two have been revealed ahead of the premiere.
Episode one is called Past, Present or Future and will see the former Top Gear trio getting up to more antics involving all manner of motors.
A summary for Past, Present or Future reads: “In the return of the world’s greatest car show Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May compare a V12-powered Lamborghini Aventador S, a hybrid Honda NSX and an all-electric Croatian supercar called the Rimac Concept One in a battle of past, present and future, set against the dramatic and car-unfriendly backdrop of Switzerland.
“Along the way, the boys test manoeuvrability and straightline speed before taking part in a hillclimb event with an unexpectedly dramatic ending.
“Also in this show, two stars battle to be crowned the world’s fastest former talent show judge as Ricky Wilson of The Voice UK goes up against David Hasselhoff from America’s Got Talent in the all-new Celebrity Face Off.”
Meanwhile, episode two is called The Fall Guys and the synopsis says: “In this show Jeremy Clarkson drives the all-new, 647 horsepower Ford GT from New York city to Niagara Falls, a trip that is made more challenging by the car’s uncompromising, racing-car-for-the-road design and by James May who, using only public transportation, is trying to beat Jeremy to the finish line.

“May’s trip is also more complicated than necessary because he is accompanied by Richard Hammond and the leg he broke in a previous show.
“Can a carbon fibre bodied, twin turbo missile make it to the Falls before a disgruntled man forced to drag a moaning, wounded colleague onto buses, trains and planes?

Where has The Grand Tour season 2 been filmed?
Season two of The Grand Tour has been filmed on five different continents as the three hosts have made their way across the globe for the fastest rides.
As well as visiting previous locations, The Grand Tour will be going to Dubai, Spain, Switzerland, Colorado, Croatia, Mozambique and New York.
However, there will be a big difference this year with the roving tent finally getting a permanent location in the Cotswolds near Clarkson’s home.
Speaking about the decision to keep tent in one place, Amazon said it was due to “sore joints, struggling lungs and combined age of 158”.
When does The Grand Tour season 2 start?
The Grand Tour season two, episode one will be dropping at midnight on Friday, December 8.
Episodes will then be made available on a weekly basis - season one is already available to watch on the streaming platform.
Only subscribers of Amazon Prime Video will be able to watch the programme.
