Grant Thornton Oman to organise fundraising campaign for AEICD

Muscat -

Grant Thornton Oman is organising a fund raising campaign for the Association of Early Intervention for Children with Disability (AEICD) at the Al Aman Unit in Al Khoudh on Thursday. The organisation looks after children and adults with physical and mental disabilities, stated a press release.

The campaign will be a community carnival which will include games, henna/face painting, horse riding, magic show and sale of food and other items and raffle draw. It will also see talks by inspirational speakers. All funds collected will be given to AEICD. Titled, ‘Growing together in the community’ the campaign is part of a global initiative held across 130 countries that helps communities unlock their potential for growth.

“On December 7, our people will help our community by spending time at the Al Aman Unit. The staff at Grant Thornton Oman are proud to share this day with the children,” said Nasser al Mugheiry. The association was formed on March 22 in 2000 and officially chartered by the Ministerial Decision (144/2000) issued on May 20, 2000 in Muscat.

AEICD is the only centre in Oman to provide children specialised programmes that cover all developmental areas. The event will be held from 5pm to 10pm.
