Delhi: 22-yr old Hockey player recovered dead in his car

A national level hockey player allegedly gunned down himself on Tuesday in front of the house of a female friend in Sarojini Nagar Delhi. The kins of the deceased have alleged that their son was assassinated but the cops affirmed it seems to be a suicide attempt.

The player has been found as Rizwan Khan. He was pursuing BA course from Jamia Millia Islamia University, Delhi. The second year student was recovered dead in his car in GI-Block of Sarojini Nagar.

The cops stated that no official documents were revealed by the kins to assist this claim.

The cops affirmed that they got call at 10.20 a.m. about his death.

“We recovered a pistol in the right hand of the victim. Moreover, no suicide note was recovered from the area,” affirmed Romil Baaniya, DCP (South).

He stated that a squad of CFSL and FSL specialists involving ballistic and biology division have investigated the area.

“In the initial report, it seems to be suicide case. The cops have started actions under Section 174 of the CrPC,” Mr. Baaniya stated.

The deceased father, Shareef Khan, affirmed his son left the residence at 12.30 p.m. on Monday along with 2 lakh rupees cash to purchase a bike. But when he tried to call Rizwan, he didn’t pick up. Later, it was picked up a girl.

She did not disclose any information about Rizwan. Following several trials, the girl’s father receive call and directed the address to Rizwan’s father. Immediately, he went to their house where the girl’s father gave 2 lakh rupees to him.
