Roger Federer given unique deaf sign… can you guess what it is?
ROGER FEDERER has 17 Grand Slam titles, millions in the bank and was once gifted a cow for winning a tournament.
But what the Swiss tennis legend hasn’t had is his own deaf sign… until now.
The Swiss Deaf Association have awarded Federer his own sign as a tribute to his excellent 2017 season.
Federer won the Australian Open and Wimbledon titles this season, taking his overall Grand Slams tally to a men’s record of 17.
Each year the SDA award a new deaf sign to a person of note.
And Federer was more than happy to collect the unique award by showing off the new sign itself.

What is the Roger Federer deaf sign?
Sign language is not all about spelling out words through physical gestures.
People can be described through their particular personality or physical traits, rather than simply their name.
And for Federer the deaf sign is a tied bandana, reflecting the headwear the Swiss star has worn for much of his career.
Therefore, when referring to ‘Roger Federer’ you can use the gesture of tying a bandana on your head.
It’s certainly better than trying holding up 10 and then seven fingers to represent his Grand Slam hoard.
