On Tuesday, Microsoft rolled out the world’s first ‘Always Connected’ PCs. They run on Windows 10 on ARM-based Qualcomm SoCs. The company inaugurated the first-ever Always Connected PCs from Asus and HP. The laptops will provide built-in LTE connectivity with longer battery life than x86 PCs.

The Always Connected PCs are fueled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC and ARM architecture.The Asus NovaGo, is the first int this new range. It will be world’s first Gigabit LTE convertible laptop. NovaGo promises a good 30-hour resting battery life plus 22 hours of active usage with its 52Wh battery.

Always Connected: HP Envy x2

The second PC is the HP Envy x2. It is a convertible that offers a 20-hour active battery life with a built-in 4G LTE connectivity. It runs on both Windows 10 S and sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon X16 LTE modem.

The HP Envy x2 is also backed by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. It offers 8GB of LPDDR4X PoP RAM with up to 256GB of internal storage. The device is fanless with a thin and light CNC Machined Aluminium tablet, which is 6.9 mm thick. It just weighs only 0.7 kg.

Always Connected: The Asus NovaG

The Asus NovaGo is fueled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 mobile processor. It comes paired with 4GB or 8GB of RAM and 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB of Universal Flash Storage. The device offers  two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and a single HDMI port. The NovaGo operates on Microsoft Windows 10 S, fetching new functionalities like Windows Ink, Windows Hello, and Cortana. It weighs 1.39kg and measures 316 x 221.6 x 14.9mm. Other available options include eSIM and Nano-SIM.

The Asus NovaGo flaunts a 13.3-inch full-HD display. The HP Envy x2 assembles a smaller 12.3-inch WUXGA+ display,  making itself a tablet.

The Asus NovaGo 4G RAM and 64GB storage variant will cost $499 (approximately 32,173 INR). And the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model will be priced at $799 (approximately 51,523 INR).
