Wrote to govt about capping martyrs’ kins benefits: Army chief Bipin Rawat

Army Chief General Bipin Rawat on Wednesday said that the armed forces have written to Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman regarding the seeking the reversal of a government order that has capped educational expenses paid to children of slain soldiers or disabled soldiers at Rs 10,000 per month. The Union Defence Minister is concerned and will address issue on priority, Rawat added.
