Guan Eng, DAP must be sweating bullets: Umno Youth chief

KUALA LUMPUR: A Penang Umno Youth leader said he believes the DAP-led Penang government is currently sweating over the likelihood they could lose power in the coming general election.
Nibong Tebal Umno Youth chief Mohd Norhiesam Ismail said this was due to the numerous problems DAP has brought onto Penang since 2008, when it won over the state in the General Election then.
"It has been two terms that they have been ruling Penang, and in that time, a lot of problems have fallen upon us.
"(Chief Minister) Lim Guan Eng and the DAP government must be restless now, for all the troubles they have caused to the rakyat in Penang," he said when debating at the Umno Youth general assembly, here, today.
Mohd Norhiesam noted how in 2017 alone, some 20 cases of flooding have hit the state, accusing the DAP government of failing to administer professionally.
"The fact is they were selfish. They developed the state without control. Even the hills are bald. You can check on Google to see the damage DAP has done.
"When it flooded recently, Lim cried (asking for help), but when the federal government assisted, he bit the hand that helped him," he said.
Meanwhile, he also requested for the federal government to abolish tolls on the Penang bridge for motorcycles of 200cc capacity and below, claiming that those using it daily to travel to work had to fork up to RM42 per month.
"It might look a bit, but if we can abolish it, it will go a long way to helping the lower income group," he said.
