What are the rules of the Champions League draw?

Clubs cannot play a team from their group until the quarter-finals and they are not allowed to meet a team from their own country until the last eight.

Teams are split into two pots with the winners in one and the runners-up in another.

Group winners cannot be drawn against another group winner.

Who is in which pot?

Pot 1 (Winner): Manchester United, Paris St-Germain, Roma, Barcelona, Liverpool, Manchester City, Besiktas, Tottenham.

Pot 2 (Runners up): Basel, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Juventus, Sevilla, Shakhtar Donetsk, Porto, Real Madrid.
