According to official sources, the union minister of state pointed out that in order to mitigate migration from Uttarakhand and other mountainous regions in the nation, food processing, tourism, herbal and organic agriculture should be promoted on the lines of Manipur and Assam. He sought assistance from Balkrishna for work on bringing out specialities of such places on the world platform and making the youth of the nation employment oriented. He appreciated Balkrishna’s efforts for popularising Yoga and Ayurveda on the international platform. Various works and schemes of Patanjali Yogpeeth in Uttarakhand have also motivated the local residents, added Tamta.

Balkrishna told the minister that since its inception, the institution had been working to make the youth self-reliant and help the farmers prosper while also striving for economic prosperity of the nation by challenging the dominance of foreign-based companies. The Patanjali Yogpeeth will stand with the government in all its positive commitments and help in planning and management of the nation’s talents to establish a connection with economic development.
