The Tigor EVs are being manufactured for the Government’s order of electric vehicles from the Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL), an entity under the Ministry of Power.

Tigor was launched in March this year with petrol and diesel engines. The car competes against Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Hyundai Xcent and Honda Amaze

Tata Motors has shown interest in launching the commercially for the personal buyer. Electric variants of the Tiago and Nano are also on the cards
