The Belgian has been in superb form again this season for the Blues, keeping nine clean sheets in all competitions.

And Spanish outlet Don Balon say Courtois wants to replace Keylor Navas at Real for several reasons.

They report the 25-year-old knows he will have more chance of winning major trophies at the Bernabeu than he does at Stamford Bridge.

And Courtois also has two daughters that live in Madrid which would make a move ideal for the shot stopper.

Florentino Perez is said to be ready to make the Belgian his top goalkeeper target as a result.

Athletic Bilbao ace Kepa Arrizabalaga had been earmarked by Real Madrid as a signing they could target in January.

But Zinedine Zidane could now wait and make Courtois the priority at the end of the season.

Real have had a disappointing season so far.

Cristiano Ronaldo and co currently sit fourth in La Liga, eight points behind Barcelona on top.
