Exiled Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, took part in an annual prize distribution event at a government college in Himachal Pradesh's Dharamshala. Hundreds of students gathered in the college and were elated by the presence of the Nobel Laureate. Principal of the college, Sunil Mehta, said it was a proud and enlightening moment for the students to hear the Dalai Lama's speech. The Dalai Lama, a Nobel laureate, fled into exile in India from Lhasa after an abortive uprising against Chinese rule.
