LIMERICK >> The Spring-Ford Board of School Directors held its annual reorganization meeting Monday and elected Thomas DiBello as board president.
Board member Dawn Heine was elected vice president.
“I want to thank my fellow board members for their support. I am looking forward to a successful school year, and I’d like to welcome the new board members this year,” said DiBello.
DiBello has been a resident of Limerick Township for more than 15 years and has served on the Spring-Ford School Board for the past eight years. DiBello serves as the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit Board President, as well as the Spring-Ford Youth Football and Cheer President.
Board member Colleen Zasowski was elected to the Joint Operating Committee for the Western Montgomery Career and Technical Center.
Christina Melton was appointed to the Montgomery County School Directors Legislative Committee. DiBello will remain the representative to the Spring City American Legion.
Edward Dressler will continue to represent Spring-Ford as a liaison for the Pennsylvania School Board Association.
The Board of School Directors will assess the current assignments for Board Committees (Community Relations, Curriculum & Technology, Extra-Curricular, Finance, Personnel, Property and Policy) and will announce any changes in early 2018.
