Okhi storm effect was on Tuesday witnessed in Bhopal and other parts of the State. Under the changed weather conditions thundery activities and light showers were witnessed at few places in the state making the weather conditions harsher; more rains are likely to occur in the next 24 hours.
Light showers witnessed in the city made the harsh weather conditions more intense. Dark and dense clouds were witnessed for the past two days would be witnessed for the next two days.
Met official said that Ujjain, Shajapur and Indore recorded rainfall on Tuesday. Since morning, cold wave conditions prevailed. Sun was visible for very less time and for the whole day cloudy weather conditions prevailed.
Gwalior, Chambal, Indore, Ujjain, Bhopal and Hoshangabad divisions are likely to witness light showers at few places in the next 24 hours. The remaining regions are likely to witness dry weather conditions.
In the past 24 hours the coldest places of the state were Umaria and Chhinwara which recorded night temperature at 7 degree Celsius.
The city recorded day temperature at 26.2 degree Celsius and night temperature at 14.4 degree Celsius.
Under the abrupt changes the night temperatures in the major cities have been recorded above the normal temperatures. The pattern was witnessed across the state with few ex exceptions.
The night temperature in Indore was recorded 5 degree Celsius above the normal temperature at 17.3 degree Celsius, in Gwalior night temperature was recorded 5 degree Celsius above the normal temperature at 13.2 degree Celsius and in Jabalpur night temperature was recorded without any deviation at 10.8 degree Celsius.
The day temperatures were recorded below normal temperature among the major cities. Indore recorded day temperature at 22.5 degree Celsius which was 5 degree Celsius below the normal temperature,
Gwalior recorded day temperature at 21.8 degree Celsius which was 4 degree Celsius below the normal temperature and Jabalpur recorded day temperature at 25.9 degree Celsius which was 1 degree Celsius below the normal temperature.
