Coronation Street spoilers: Bethany Platt to find love?

Bethany Platt has had a tough 2017, and that's putting it mildly.

The 17-year-old was targeted by evil groomer Nathan Curtis (Chris Harper), who made her life a living hell as he lured her into his sex ring.

The troubled teen faced months of traumatising abuse both physically and mentally at the hands of someone she thought loved her.

But it looks as if things are set to turn around after Coronation Street spoilers revealed that a new romance is on the cards.

And the lucky man in question is none other than best pal Craig Tinker (Colson Smith).

The pair have been good friends since Bethany arrived back on the cobbles, and they are set to take things further after agreeing to go on a date.

It's no secret among Coronation Street fans that Craig has harboured an undying love for Bethany for a while, and the police officer thinks he's finally in with a chance after she asks him round to the Platt household for a pizza. Who said romance isn't dead?

Seeing this is his opportunity to tell her how he feels like the lovesick puppy dog he is, he puts on his best shirt, and confesses his crush.

"I would think they’re good as friends though. I can see Corrie putting them together, as that’s a popular choice with fans, but I like them as friends. Bethany needs a good friend like Craig."

However, Coronation Street spoilers also revealed that Bethany may turn to lap dancing in a storyline set to air next year.

An insider revealed: "Becoming a lap-dancer is about having control over men for Bethany.

"She feels she has power over the punters she's dancing for because they are paying to watch her but can't touch her."

They continued to The Sun: "She pities them for wanting her and the fact she refuses to take all her clothes off helps her feel like she’s the one calling the shots."
