Under its crop cluster development programme (CCDP) costing Rs 510 crore, Haryana Government has identified one cluster of villages in Rohtak district.

The cluster has been identified for setting up a 'state of art' grading and sorting pack house by a Farmer Producer Organisation (FPO) for horticulture crops, said Principal Secretary Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, Abhilaksh Likhi, who visited and interacted with farmers in village Jassia, district Rohtak on Tuesday.

During his visit, Likhi took feedback and enquired about seed and fertiliser availability and other requirements such as water and power for wheat sowing in the area.

He also motivated farmers to adopt integrated farming with diversification towards high value horticulture crops and bee keeping.

Later, he also enquired the farmers if they were facing any problems with regard to supply and crushing of sugarcane, and payment dues.
