'Not everyday you get a penguin cuddle!' Care home residents overjoyed by surprise visit
RESIDENTS at a care home had a bit of a pick up when two penguins visited them.

The occupants of Madley Park House in Witney, Oxon have regular animal therapy sessions with dogs and other pets.
But a local zoo arranged for penguins Charlie and Pringle to pop in for the afternoon with children from two local schools joining the fun.
Activity coordinator Carly Willimont said: "It's always such a joy to see how the residents react to the animals.

Residents fed the father and son penguins and held them on their laps.

Studies have shown that caring for an animal has proven health benefits.
Care quality director Jo Blackburn said: "We have a number of regular 'pat dogs' that visit our homes.
"Many of our homes have their own pets, generally rabbits and cats."
