A night of evergreen melodies

KOCHI: A music night by Voice of India, a Kochi-based band exclusively dedicated to classic Hindi songs, will stage yet another show at JT Pac here on December 10 at 7 pm. Led by the famous playback singer Mohammed Aslam who is also known across the world for his mesmerizing renditions of Rafi songs, the ‘Evergreen Melodies of Indian Cinema’ will also feature professional singers including Anil Kumar and Jyothi Menon.

The musical night will witness a near-perfect delivery of all-time Bollywood hits made immortal by the likes of Mohammed Rafi, Kishore kumar, Mukesh, Mahendra Kapoor, Mannadey, Latha Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle, accompanied by original musical instruments like saxophone, clarinet, violins, dolak, Congo drum and acoustic guitar. The tickets to the show are already on sale at BookMyShow and will be available at the box office.  

Mohammed Aslam started singing when he was 6-years-old and began performing at stage shows since 13 and has earned international acclaim with over 2,000 stage shows to his credit. His first song for a film was “Naan Uravukaaran” in Nattamai in 1994, and after that he continued to sing in several Tamil and Telugu movies. Later, he worked with A R Rahman for hit films like Rang De Basanti and Jodha Akbar.  
Anil Kumar came into professional singing since 1990, specialised in singing classic Bollywood songs.

A disciple of Ustad Fays Khan, he has performed at numerous reputed stage shows including AMMA award Nite at Al Nasure Leisure Land, Dubai, Asiavision Television Award Nite at Sharjah Stadium, M Rafi and Kishore Nite at Abu Dhabi. He has performed with almost all the leading playback singers of Malayalam film industry.  Jyothi Menon has sung for three Malayalam movies and for various devotional music albums.  She was the first gold medal winner of the first-ever reality show conducted by Doordarshan in 1997.  For more details and reservations, visit BookMyShow or call , 80868 81681, 93495 28057
