4 MoUs inked for better healthcare

The State Government on Tuesday signed four MoUs for better delivery of healthcare services in the State. The partnering agencies are the Global Health Care Systems Pvt Ltd, the Centre for Stem Cell Research of the Christian Medical College, Velore, the Narayan Hrudayalaya and the LV Prasad Eye Institute, Bhubaneswar. The Global Health Care Systems Pvt Ltd, Kolkata joined hands with the Govt for implementation of the digital dispensary centres in 14 locations of Nabarangpur district in the first phase. These centres will function as an OPD with virtual consultation with doctors through video and facility for basic laboratory test and medication dispensing. The Centre for Stem Cell Research will provide services for better detection and treatment of thalassemia, sicklecell and Anaemia. The Narayan Hruday-alaya would provide surgery treatment to children suffering from Congenital Heart Disease and Rheumatic Heart Disease. Similarly, the LV Prasad Eye Institute will be helpful in providing specialised care to the needy children for treatment of congenital cataract and Retinopathy of Prematurity.

The MoUs were signed with officials of the Health Dept and concerned service providers in the presence of CM.
