DUBAI: Best Express Cargo, a new wing of M Group that has an 18-year stint in the Middle East market, has launched its operations simultaneously in two stations in Dubai — Sonapur and Al Quoz.

Indian Parliamentarian and Muslim League stalwart and a former minister of Kerala PK Kunhalikutty inaugurated the Sonapur branch near Emirates Post Office and Panakkad Syed Abbas Ali Shihab Thangal opened the Al Quoz branch inside the Quick Market.

The chief Guest at the function was Ustad Simsar-ul-haq while Dubai KMCC officials including President Anwar Naha attended the function.

M Group Chairman Muneer Naujaz PK said that the world cargo forwarders have plans to open 10 more branches by next year and they employ more than 1,000 employees in India for carefully handling cargo received from the GCC countries where they have 22 branches and 250 employes right now.
Manager Shamnad Ayakkodan added that there are no complaints of breakage of cargo sent by the group to India because “the cargo handlers are ower own employees and not agents.”

Right they have offers for a month after opening and cargo forwarding rates are very competitive, they claimed.

Kunhalikutty, meanwhile, talking to the press added that as a Parliamentarian he was very concerned with the plight of the Kerala fishermen community who are devastated by the cyclone Okhi last week.
He criticised the handling of the situation by the Government of Kerala and the delayed cyclone warning disputed by both central and state governments.

“Now is the time to unite and work for the rehabilitation of the affected people,” he said.
