HYDERABAD: Municipal administration minister KT Rama Rao is back with his trademark Town Hall meetings which he effectively used during the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections.Rama Rao used Town Hall meetings to effectively interact with people at the colony level and conducted such meetings at various places particularly where there were good number of educated people. TRS went on to win the elections convincingly.

More than 22 months after wresting the GHMC, Rama Rao is once again mulling the idea of holding such meetings again. With criticism from Opposition parties about the neglect of the state capital, the minister, it is learnt wants to focus on the government’s achievement of launching the Metro Rail and also several other works. Rama Rao on Monday took to twitter to announce the town hall meetings.

“Will be conducting series of Town Hall meetings across various circles of Hyderabad from next week; ‘Mana Nagaram/Apna Shehar’ Direct interaction with resident welfare associations to ensure people’s priorities are aligned with municipal Administration,’’ he tweeted.
