Students of Baku Musical Academy and the Grieg Academy,which covers music education-related programsatNorway'sBergen Universityhave surprised listeners with spectacular concert.
Marvelous event took place in the house-museumofLeopold and Mstislav Rostropovichin Baku as part of the project "Artistic Research Knowledge Network Eurasia", Trend Life reported.
Addressing the event, museum's director Sheyla told guests about the Polyarnaya Zvezda Prize (1995), which Mstislav Rostropovich got in Sweden, and his concerts in Baku.
The project's coordinator Dagfin Bachstressed the close ties between the University of Bergen and the Baku Musical Academy. Many students from Baku graduated from this university.
"Now the University of Bergen is working on a new project between the Tbilisi Conservatoire and the Conservatory of Alma-Ata, which will last three years. Two students from Baku will be sent to Bergen University for one semester and two from us at the same time. We will also host master classes entitled "Artistic research & workshop." I would like to note that BMA students Umid Abbasov and Akshin Geyushov represented Azerbaijan in Norway withsuch dignity, "he said.
Further, talented musicians Akshin Geyushev (double bass), Umida Abbasova (violin), Ayrin Suelberg (piano), Marcus Erickson (cello) and others appeared on the stage.
Theaudience enjoyedthe brilliant performance by young musicians.
An interesting excursion was also conducted for the visitors. Moreover, audience enjoyed a movie "Bizdə hər şey var"(We have everything), dedicated to Russian cellist and conductor Mstislav Rostropovich. The movie was filmed by Azer Aliyev.
