CLAT
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) announces its entrance exam dates for the admission of the students for Under-Graduate (UG)/ Post-Graduate (PG) degree programmes at various National Law Universities in the country. It is conducted on rotational basis by 18 National Law Universities (NLUs).
Mode of exam
CLAT 2018 will be conducted completely online. The test paper consists of 200 questions which aspirants need to attempt in 2-hour duration. The medium of examination is English only. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. There are special arrangements made for Specially Abled Persons (SAP). The candidate can opt for either to arrange his/her own scribe or to make request to the CLAT office to provide the scribe for the candidate. In case of first option the candidates has to download the scribe declaration form which is available on the website at the time of filling-in application form.
Eligibility
UG programmes: The candidates must have passed Class XII or its equivalent exam (students appearing can also apply), from a Government-recognised Board, with not less than 45 per cent marks (40 per cent in case of SC and ST candidates).
PG programmes: The candidates must have completed a five-year integrated LLB programme or its equivalent degree, with not less than 55 per cent marks (50 per cent in case of SC and ST candidates), from a recognised university as prescribed by the participating universities.
Important dates
The online registrations will begin from January 1, 2018 and the last date to register is March 31, 2018. The exam is scheduled to be held on May 13, 2018 from. The admit cards will be available from 3rd week of April 2018. For more information, log on to http://www.clat.ac.in/.
