Keeping in view natural conservation zones in the National Capital Region, the Haryana Government has decided to re-assess actual ground reality of the forest area, especially in the Aravalli belt.

This was stated by the Chief Minister Manohar Lal, while talking to the mediapersons after attending the 37th meeting of the National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) in New Delhi on Monday.

The meeting was presided over by the Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs and chairman of NCRPB, Hardeep Singh Puri. Detailed discussion was held at the meeting on various issues related to the NCR area of Haryana.

Replying to a question regarding any discussion held at the meeting on the issue of air pollution, the Chief Minister said no such discussion was held but a meeting in this regard would be called soon.

When asked to comment on his scheduled visit to Dubai this week, the Chief Minister said that the aim of the visit is to invite investors to Haryana.

Some investors are already working on their projects in the state and more investors are interested in coming to the state. Investors from Dubai would be invited to further increase investment in Haryana, he added.

Notably, the Chief Minister has been severely criticized by the opposition for undertaking foreign tours but failing to attract investments in the state. Manohar Lal has undertaken three foreign tours to different nations during first half of his five years tenure in Haryana. To attract investments for the State, he has so far visited USA, Canada, Japan, China, Singapore and Hong Kong.
