BENGALURU: A 23-year-old fashion stylist had a harrowing experience at the hands of an Ola cab driver on Sunday night. He not only allegedly tried to touch her inappropriately after child-locking her inside his cab, but also made several calls the next day, threatening her with dire consequences for complaining to the cab aggregator, which had reportedly banned him over the incident.

The incident took place on Sunday night at around 10.30 pm when the young woman was travelling alone from Indiranagar to BTM Layout in the Ola cab driven by Rajashekhar Reddy.According to the woman, the vehicle had reached the Intermediate Ring Road on the way to Koramangala when the driver stopped the car by the roadside. He then tried to touch the woman inappropriately by reaching back from the front seat. “There were no vehicles moving around the spot.

I tried to exit the vehicle but he had engaged the child lock so that the doors would not open,” the woman alleged. She then began to bang on the car windows, after which he let her out. However, the cab driver allegedly continued to approach her in an indecent manner in spite of her warnings. She then ran away from the spot till she reached the Ejipura traffic signal, about 500 metres away.
