3 arrests help police crack 15 burglaries

Pune: Police have detected 15 burglary cases following the arrest of three men, including a criminal on record for violating externment order.


The Nigdi police arrested criminal Mukesh Baban Mane (21) from Sutardara in Kothrud and detected four burglary cases and recovered gold ornaments and cash totalling Rs 13,57,660 lakh.


The Khadki police detected 11 burglary cases following the arrest of Ajinkya Waghare (19) and Ganesh Waghmare (19) from Mahadevwadi. A minor accomplice of the duo was also detained. The trio's interrogation led to the recovery of ornaments and cash worth Rs 3.83 lakh.


Assistant inspector (Nigdi police) Devendra Chavan said Mane was externed from Pune by deputy commissioner of police (Zone 1) for two years.
