When is the wedding?

Kensington Palace revealed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will marry in May St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

Windsor Castle is where Prince Harry was christened.

However, a date was not specified.

According to The Sun, the wedding will take place on Saturday, May 26.

The date, which would fall on a weekend, would break from tradition, and would kick off the Spring Bank Holiday weekend.

Royal weddings are traditionally held on weekdays.

Theresa May has resisted calls for a public holiday to be held in honour of the wedding.

However, this news would mean Brits would have the Monday off work, anyway.

How did Prince Harry propose?

Prince Harry revealed in their first television interview with the BBC how he proposed while the couple were relaxing at home at Nottingham Cottage.

He said it was “a standard typical night” and they were “probably roasting a chicken for dinner”.

Meghan described the proposal as “natural” and “very romantic”.

She said: “He got on one knee… I could barely let you finish proposing. I said ‘can I say yes now?’”

Prince Harry designed the engagement ring using a stone from Botswana and two diamonds from his mother Princess Diana’s jewellery collection.

The ring is yellow gold with the main stone from Botswana in the middle, with small diamonds either side.
