50% traffic fine cut period extended for 90 days

FUJAIRAH: The Fujairah Police will extend the grace period of the 50 per cent traffic fines cut for 90 days from December 2, 2017. This was announced by Maj. Gen. Ahmed Bin Ghanem Al Kaabi, Commander-in-Chief of Fujairah Police. The step is in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces on the occasion of the 46th National Day.

Maj Gen. Al Kaabi also confirmed the absence of serious traffic accidents in the emirate during the National Day holiday, except for minor incidents. He noted that the preparations of his good administration in terms of deployment of security patrols in the hot areas and streets in the emirate has had a great impact in maintaining security and smooth traffic movement. He further pointed out that the main streets in the emirate did not experience any traffic jams during the holiday, despite some of the roads being closed for restructuring and maintenance projects, praising the high vigilance enjoyed by police officers and their keenness to provide all elements of security to the public.
