That’s according to former player turned pundit Tony Cascarino who has been impressed with the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Riyad Mahrez, Philippe Coutinho, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.
All five players were heavily linked with big-money summer moves.
However, no deals materialised despite several players hankering for a transfer.
Cascarino says he’s been impressed with the level of professionalism on display in the aftermath of the summer window.
He told The Times: “Van Dijk, Mahrez, Coutinho, Ozil and Sanchez had their heads turned in the summer.
“Everyone questioned their heart, but they have tried as hard as possible for their clubs recently.

“Mahrez was superb for Leicester, he was absolutely top dollar. Coutinho hasn't sulked at Liverpool.
“I applaud them for not downing tools. Ozil and Sanchez have been great for Arsenal. All of them are playing well.
“Burnley have done brilliantly this year, but I am sure that if you asked Sean Dyche who caused him the most problems this season, he would say Mahrez.
“He is playing like a Champions League player, that's where he should be.
“Even if he did want to go in the summer, I wouldn't care — he is doing brilliantly.”
