Nagpur: Ahead of the all India tiger estimation exercise 2018 starting in January, a two-day training of trainers (ToT) workshop has been organized in Pench Tiger Reserve, Maharashtra, from December 5 to 7.

At least 66 forest officials from parks under Pench, Tadoba, Sahyadri, Melghat, Navegaon-Nagzira, and Bor tigers reserves will attend. Besides, officials from Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Nagpur, Kolhapur, and Yavatmal divisions will attend the training sessions.

"The basic aim of the workshop is to guide officials on the nitty-gritties involved in the estimation. The training is primarily aimed at refreshing skills of forest officials," said wildlife wing officials.
