Salah odds

17:00: The bookies think Chelsea could re-sign Mohamed Salah - but Real Madrid and Barcelona remain favourites to sign the Egypt star.

BetStars Director of Trading Ian Marmion said: “Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has set the Premier League alright this season, netting 12 league goals in his debut season for the Reds, and is currently the league’s top goalscorer ahead of Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero.

“It appears that Jurgen Klopp will have a fight on his hands to keep hold of his star man in January as the Egyptian’s goal-scoring prowess has sparked the interest of some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

“According to Egypt manager Hector Cuper, Spanish giants Real Madrid are already lining up a move for the Liverpool talisman.

“The Galaticos are the 9/4 favourites to add the Egypt international to their out-of-form squad, while their La Liga rivals Barcelona are priced at 5/1 to launch another bid for one of Liverpool’s star players.

“Meanwhile, Chelsea are the outsiders at 14/1 to re-sign their former player.”

Emenalo on Conte

16:39: Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has the full support of the club’s hierarchy, says former technical director Michael Emenalo.

He also believes the Italian’s future is not in doubt despite reports suggesting he could leave at the end of the season.

“I think that he enjoys a lot of respect at the senior level, the board level and the ownership level of the club, so there should be no worries at all,” he told talkSPORT.

“It is true that I have a very good personal relationship with him, I love his work, I love his passion, I love his ideas.

“But I think he’ll be just fine.

“He is surrounded by a lot of competent assistants, those he brought with him and those who were already at the club, and their recent results just show they will keep going on stronger and stronger.”

Three January signings?

15:45: Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho wants three signings.

And The Sun say he has been given a budget of £80million for next month.

The Red Devils want reinforcements in a bid to catch Manchester City at the summit.

Mesut Ozil, Danny Rose and Gareth Bale are all on their radar.

Spurs bid for Kovacic

14.15: Tottenham tried to sign Mateo Kovacic during the summer, Real Madrid general director Jose Angel Sanchez has revealed.

“Kovacic is not for sale, we will never sell him,” Sanchez said.

“If there are any offers for him in January, we will reject them. Last summer there were a lot of offers and questions about him.

“Juventus and AC Milan didn’t send offers, but Inter must have sent one. There was one from England, it was Tottenham.”

United sign youngster

12.25: Manchester United have signed France Under-17 international Aliou Traore.

The former PSG youngster joins the United youth academy and made his debut on Saturday.

“Traore is a boy we’ve been looking at for a while,” declared Under-18s coach Kieran McKenna, speaking to MUTV.

“He is a really powerful midfielder who likes to run box to box. He is very strong technically and is improving all the time.

“He’s a nice man and his English is improving. He’s settling in well with the boys and has taken to the club really well.”

Goretzka discusses future

11.15: Manchester United transfer target Leon Goretzka has admitted he is in the “final phase” of deciding his future.

Express Sport understands United are at the front of the queue and will make an approach for the Germany international in January.

And he has since broken his silence, revealing he is in the “final phase” of deciding his future.

“I have to find out for myself what the next step should be. I have to consider a million things,” he said.

“I am a person who is very meticulous in such decisions. I play through all the scenarios. So I need time.

“There doesn’t exist a deadline but I think we are in the final phase. The final decision will be made in January.”

Neymar to PSG?

10.45: Luis Suarez insists Neymar will not join Real Madrid.

The Brazil star has been linked with a stunning move to the Spanish capital despite only joining PSG in the summer.

PSG paid the £200m release clause to get him from Barcelona.

But he’s already fallen out with team-mates and reportedly doesn’t see eye to eye with the manager.

Suarez however doesn’t see him moving to Barcelona’s big rivals.

"Not at all," he told Marca. "Honestly, I do not see it.

"I know how Neymar is and the admiration he had for Barcelona and his team-mates. I do not see him now going to play for Real Madrid."

Real in for Icardi

10.00: Real Madrid are ready to pay £79m for Mauro Icardi, according to reports in Spain.

Icardi is on Madrid’s radar after a stunning start to the season in Italy.

The Inter star, 24, has 16 goals in 15 Serie A games - a far cry from the form of the strikers in Madrid.

Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale have six La Liga goals between them.

And Madrid are struggling in fourth, eight points behind league leaders Barcelona.

Florentino Perez is scrambling around to bring in a superstar signing to overhaul his front line.

He missed out on Kylian Mbappe in the summer and wants Neymar in 2019.

But he could move for Icardi before that and Diario Gol claim in the last board meeting the Madrid bigwigs agreed to pay £79m (€90m) to land the Argentina ace.

Willian to Man Utd

09.10: Ray Wilkins thinks Willian has a better chance of going to Old Trafford than Mesut Ozil.

The Arsenal man has been linked with United with his contract ticking down.

But Wilkins doesn’t think he’s a Mourinho player.

“Mesut Ozil won’t go to Old Trafford because he doesn’t have the work ethic that Mourinho looks for in his players,” Wilkins told Sportingbet.

“I actually see Willian as being the likely player to head to Old Trafford. Jose is an enormous admirer of Willian and he would be a special signing for United, but I pray that Chelsea don’t let him go.”

Isco blocks Luiz

08.45: Isco has blocked a move for David Luiz, according to reports in Spain.

Luiz is on Real Madrid’s radar after a bust up with Antonio Conte.

The defender’s future is uncertain after being usurped by Andreas Christensen  in the team.

His relationship with Conte is also fragile after the fallout during the Champions League draw with Roma.

He was then dropped after a poor performance in the away match in Rome.

Luiz was left out of the squad for the win over Manchester United and, despite being back in the squad in recent weeks, was out this weekend against Newcastle.

Express Sport understands Madrid are keen on a move and Zinedine Zidane is considering him for a January move.

But Don Balon claim Isco has vetoed the transfer because he doesn’t think he’s up to it.

Bale value

08.00: Manchester United value Gareth Bale at £50-60m and will end their interest in  the Wales star unless Real Madrid lower their price tag.

Bale is on Mourinho’s radar for next summer but Madrid want to recoup what they spent on him as they try and bankroll a deal for Neymar.

Madrid are asking for £100m but United, according to the Mirror, want the La Liga side to almost half that figure.

Goretzka decision

07.40: Leon Goretzka will decide on his future in January.

The Schalke winger is interesting a host of top clubs with Manchester United, Arsenal and Barcelona all monitoring his situation.

His contract is up in the summer and he will make a decision on where he goes next at the turn of the year.

“I have to find out for myself what the next step should be,” he told reporters following Schalke’s 2-2 draw with Cologne.

“I have to consider a million things. I am a person who is very meticulous in such decisions. I play through all the scenarios. So I need time.

“There doesn’t exist a deadline, but I think we are in the final phase.

“The final decision will be made in January.”

Giroud move

07.30: France assistant manager Guy Stephan has urged Olivier Giroud to leave Arsenal in January.

The striker has struggled for games this season and has been told he needs to play more to feature in the World Cup this summer.

"Didier Deschamps has already had the opportunity to talk to him about it,” Stephan said.

“And now Olivier has to find a solution in the weeks to come. A loan deal in January? That's up to him.

“Olivier has been very good for us in the last few months and he has a very high ratio in terms the amount of games played to goals.

“But now he must play more."

Conte wants double deal

07.00: Antonio Conte wants Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard to sign new deals at Chelsea

Talks on new deals for the pair have been mooted for some time but, after watching Hazard tear Newcastle apart with two goals at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, Conte wants things sorted out as soon as possible.

Hazard has now scored eight goals in his last 10 games and Conte said: “Yes, I want them to sign new deals. You are talking about two great players.

“Thibaut is one of the best goalkeepers in the world. Maybe the best. And then there is Eden. The club knows the importance of these two players and they are happy to play for this club.

“I will be very happy when they can have this deal. These two are great players because they have a lot of space for improvement. They are very young and it will be great to keep them with us.

“The World Cup is the best tournament in the world. You can show your skills and show that you are a top player."

Rose breakthrough

06.45: Manchester United have been told to pay £45m for Danny Rose.

The Tottenham left-back has been linked with a move to Old Trafford ever since his explosive interview in the summer.

He claimed he wanted to move back up north and has appeared at odds with manager Mauricio Pochettino.

He has played just two Premier League games since returning from injury and admitted he was fuming when left out of the squad for the north London derby.

And the Star on Sunday claimed United have found a breakthrough with Poch ready to sanction a sale for £45m.
