JIM BETT believes the chance to manage Rangers will be too good an opportunity to turn down for Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes.
The Ibrox board are poised to make their move to land the 46-year-old in the coming days and conclude their search for Pedro Caixinha’s successor in the dugout.
McInnes suffered back-to-back defeats to Graeme Murty’s side in the Premiership last week as the Dons lost second spot in the Premiership standings.

And Bett, who had three years in Light Blue and spent nine years at Pittodrie, can understand why the Reds boss would be open to a switch.
He told SportTimes: “It has been talked about for a while and I think everyone is fed up with it now to be honest. I think Rangers should just go and do it if they are going to do it.
“There is so much speculation and it is in every paper. It is it off-putting for Derek and Aberdeen.
“Rangers are a big club and they should just go and do it if they are going to do it.
“He has been at Aberdeen a long time and done very well there but it may be an opportunity that he can’t turn down because he might not get asked again.
“He has played for Rangers and knows the club so it is an opportunity that, if he does get asked, he could be on his way to Ibrox.
“He has done well at Aberdeen and Stewart Milne has given him good backing because he has got a fairly big squad of players.
“Going to Rangers, he will be hoping he gets a few pounds to spend because the Rangers supporters expect success and they want to catch Celtic, who have been strolling the league for a few years now.
“Hopefully it is all done and dusted soon because it is getting a bit boring to be honest.”
