Is Turkish-Iranian gold trader Reza Zarrab a ticking clock on Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan?

Ties between Ankara and Washington have deteriorated in recent weeks as Zarrab decided to cooperate with US prosecutors as he is facing years in US prison. Zarrab has now implicated top Turkish politicians, including Erdogan, accusing him of authorizing two Turkish banks to join the scheme when he was prime minister. Erdogan, on the other hand, has dismissed the case as a politically motivated attempt to bring down his government.
